One Airline into Aspen? Fly evoJets
This winter, airline seats into Aspen may be hard to come by. Both Frontier Airlines and Delta Air Lines have recently confirmed they will not be flying into town during the coming ski season. United will be the only commercial route left for travelers wishing to visit the area.
Frontier’s decision has been made due to changes implemented when Republic Airways acquired the airline last spring. The new parent company plans to phase out the use of the Bombardier Q400s, the aircraft used for Frontier’s current flights to Aspen. The Embraer regional jets that make up the rest of Republic’s fleet are unable to operate at full capacity when flying into Aspen.
Delta had made a previous announcement that it would not be returning to the area after poor performance on last winter’s flights. When the news about Frontier first came through, Delta was asked if they were in a position to reconsider their decision, but the answer was no.
Passengers who had already purchased tickets on Frontier flights this winter will most likely be accommodated by United, the only remaining airline flying to Aspen. Those who are unable to get a seat on United flights will be refunded. Delta had not sold any tickets for the upcoming season.
Despite the general disappointment at the departure of these airlines from the Aspen market, travelers should not be discouraged from seeking alternative transportation to their favorite ski destination. Instead of flying commercial, why not try chartering a private jet?
Due to their location right in Aspen, evoJets Charter is in the perfect position to offer another opportunity to passengers who would usually fly by commercial airline. Customers who are apprehensive about this option due to higher prices may be able to reduce costs by taking part in evoJets’ unique flight-sharing option. And all customers will be delighted at the benefits of flying by stylish private charter: privacy, convenience, superior customer service, and sumptuous comfort, to name a few. Best of all, there is no need to worry about the possible loss of your seat due to overbooking.
